eight

he turned eight yesterday.  and it feels like just yesterday when i was holding him in my arms with that sweet face looking up at me.  his face has barely changed at all. i tried to hold him like that again and i could barely pick him up.  but i did it.  next year he will probably be too big.  

he got his new bed today.  a loft bed.  a big boy bed.  he has wanted it for so long.  i had mixed emotions--i knew it was time, but it was going to change things. tonight i could  barely get up there to give him goodnight hugs.  sigh.  times are changing round here.  happy birthday to my boy....

Your pictures, no matter how simple, are great photo's. Happy Belated Birthday to your boy. I can imagine how you must feel as my daughter is approaching 2 and I know that as soon as turn around, she will be 8 as well. Then I will be wondering where the time went.
