goodbye canon

canon 5d for sale + lenses | sold

at first i was just going to post this with some random photo that i recently took.  and then i thought, maybe i should post some photos i actually took with my 5d.  off i went to look.  and these are what i found.  some of my most favorite photos. ever.  now if i let it, sentiment would set it and i would decide to keep this camera forever.  i would question myself...maybe i should have never upgraded, maybe there was no need?  i would take it right out of the box and start shooting with it again. sell off all my nikon instead.  but no.  i can't go back, i can only move forward.  but it's an awesome camera and it will make someone very happy.  it has come time to say goodbye.

ok.  i have been sitting on this equipment for over a year now...so it's really hardly been used.  when i took the camera to canon to be serviced i asked about replacing the clicker but the clicks were still too low to warrant it.  i was going to get the lenses serviced too, but canon thinks that would be better off done by the one who purchases the items--that way you get the warranty. lens prices are low so you can service them yourself.

if only a camera could make someone take pictures like that- i remember the waterhose photo and the older couple photo- two of MY favorite photos of all time, from anywhere. i think you were linked from another blog with those photos, and that is how i found your blog! you are an amazing photographer, and really one of THE most talented i have ever come across...your work is really inspiring!

xoxo,
erika

p.s. i am not in need of a camera (i love my 7d)- but i will send anyone looking your way! :-)

Where are you located? I'm in Utah and if you can't find a home for that 24-70 (which I think is an L lens)... I will find a way to buy it.

Hello. I just sent you an e-mail. I am highly interested in buying everything for $2200. Mostly if it is a Mark II. Looking forward to hearing back from you! Thanks so much!
